Are you an athlete? Have you been an athlete at sometime in your life and want to get back in the "game"? Do you have those typical aches and pains that most athletes live with? And how about your knees...how they holding up for you? Is your back hurting too?
You see, I am a former athlete also. I retired as a black belt in Chito-Ryu; I played high school football and intramural sports in college; I am also a retired competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter, on a semi-regular occassion I also hike Mt. Laconte in the Smoky Mtns, the second highest peak there and I train hard on a regular basis, so I not only know something about sports, I have had just about every injury you can think of and this was long before sports conditioning was even given a thought.
Getting In Shape Is No Easy Task - Why Make it Harder?
.
.
Getting in shape for whatever your sport is usually requires a lot of hard work. From preparing for a marathon to high school sports, to a weekly round of golf or tennis; to the weekend warrior picking up a game of basketball at the local YMCA, the body needs to be in shape. All too often though many athletes will head off to the gym and begin a workout they found in a muscle magazine or they will do what the biggest guy in the gym tells them to do ( and he got his information from the same muscle magazine and maybe from the same kind of bottle that Barry Bonds was using....). The problem with this is the very foundation that all athletes need to condition, which is their connective tissue, is not even thought about when training. Ever wonder how "Bob or Jim" or whomever, ended up rupturing their Achilles Tendon playing a pickup game of basketball? It's simply because their musculoskeletal system did not have the capacity for this type of activity. Do you?
.
Sports conditioning is a science and my company BodyFit Sports & Fitness Sciences, a division of Total Healthcare Fitness is not only the leader in this field in the south central Kentucky area, but I provide the only full spectrum sports conditioning program of its kind. No other trainer in the south central Kentucky area has the experience nor the credentials to carry out such a daunting task as to take a human body and get it ready for sports. Even local physical therapists that offer a "sports conditioning" program do not provide the depth of training that my program does.

Train Like Your Life Depended On It!
.
I know of too many athletes, especially female athletes, that have suffered horrible injuries especially to their knees. Did you know that female athletes are 3 to 10 times more likely to experience an ACL injury before college? Did you know that over 50% of female athletes entering college have had an ACL injury and reparative surgery? And the numbers get even higher for a re-injury.
.
Do you know how to prevent such an injury for females? Did you know that weak abdominal muscles (not the kind that you use when doing crunches) contribute to a weak ACL? Not just any ol' trainer knows this but I do! And can you guess what muscle group (not the legs) will contribute to strong healthy knees and back?
.
How about your back? Do you have back pain and stiffness? Did you know that your abdominal muscles are responsible for carrying 50% of the upper body load related to back work? And do you know how to scientifically train for this loading? Not just everyday ol' crunches will do the job? And can you guess what muscles of the back are called the "Workhorse Muscles" but rarely does anyone train them directly?
.
If you are a current athlete needing to improve performance and injury prevention or you want to return to an athletic lifestyle or you just want to increase the distance you drive the golf ball, you don't need to just exercise, you need to train as if your life depended on it. Injuries from poor conditioning will not just sideline you from the game, it could seriously injure you so badly that it will affect the rest of your life; you could experience an injury each and every time you attempt to play. You can't afford to put your sports conditioning in the hands of just any trainer.

Golfers...add 50 Yards To Your Drives!
.
What about that? Think I am kidding? The PGA's handicap hasn't changed in over 20 years but golf equipment and techology continues to advance. Why don't the handicaps change? But look at golfers like Tiger Woods....how is it he is so good? It is called Golf Sports Conditioning and it works and there is a science behind it.
.
And yes, you can add an additional 50 yards to your drive if you will train the scientific way. And again, just doing some curls and crunches isn't going to get the job done nor does jumping in the swimming pool every morning and knocking out some laps. You have to know how the human body works as you swing a golf club and train it accordingly. Over the last 20 years I have personally trained many golfers that not only added yards to their drive but began to whip their buddies and they couldn't figure out what was doing on.
.
The old saying is, "Drive for show and putt for dough" but in truth you want to reduce the overall number of strokes and get as close to the green as possible and by adding those "stroke reducing yards to your drive", you increase your chances of winning that dough!
.
Not Training For Golf Is a Handicap
.
If you aren't training for golf, or any sport for that matter, it is a handicap to you. And you can't afford ANY handicaps; you have to be at your best not just to play well and win but to live healthy and strong and injury free.
